This book was written and published in 1903 by Frances Clary Morse and features a large number of plates depicting furniture that was already antique at the time of publication. Very interesting source for those that may be restoring antiques and those simply interested in American history.
I find books of this nature to be incredibly interesting as they tend to feature pieces from private collections that may not otherwise be found anywhere else and are likely still in private collections.
Chapter One features the most prominent and useful furniture of the past which of course includes chests, chests of drawers, and dressing tables.
Sometimes I use optical text recognition to convert my scans to text, but on this one I am just going to post the PDFs for expediency, especially considering that the number of plates in this book would affect the formatting of pdf to text quite a bit. Enjoy!
