Mid Century Modern
The Mid Century Modern look has gone radioactive! Flip through practically any magazine featuring homes and home furnishings and you are almost sure to find an article featuring midcentury. Midcentury describes architecture, furniture, and graphic design from the middle of the 20th century (1933-1965, but particularly after WWII). New and exciting free-form designs and adventurous creations were introduced and enjoyed in all sectors of art and design. We have put together a small selection of knobs and pulls to assist your endeavors in midcentury modern decor. To get everyone in the groove, we attempted to channel Maynard G Krebs as we wrote a little bit about each knob or pull. If the jargon of the Day makes no sense to you, perhaps you can find an old Dobie Gillis fan to translate. Enjoy!
